Located in the heart of Millenia Walk, between Marina Square and Suntec City, the Muslim-owned eatery has been serving diners since 2016 and has earned a loyal following, holding a 4.8-star Google rating with over 1,100 happy customers. It has also been previously featured in The Straits Times, The Honeycombers and other publications.

At first glance, Dönergy Turkish Kebab at Millenia Walk looks like a cosy Turkish eatery in Singapore's downtown: warm bread, sizzling kebabs and sweet kunefe drawing diners in after a long day. But behind the food lies a deeper story that many guests don’t immediately realise: the restaurant is built on the friendship and kinship between two nations often described as “bir millet, iki devlet” — one people, two states — Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

The restaurant owners hail from Azerbaijan, while the kitchen brings together chefs from both Azerbaijan and Türkiye. Sharing language roots, culinary traditions and hospitality culture, the team cooks not just as colleagues but as a family bound by heritage. This spirit is reflected in the way guests are welcomed — relaxed, friendly and never rushed, just as meals are meant to be enjoyed back home.

While the menu is predominantly Turkish, attentive diners may notice touches that go beyond Istanbul. Alongside kebabs and pide, the kitchen also prepares comforting Azeri-style dishes such as Bozbash—a hearty, slow-cooked stew beloved by many regulars from the local community who appreciate its homely flavours. Originally introduced as a special available on select days, Bozbash quickly gained popularity and became a regular menu item. At Donergy, we have both local and expatriate customers who visit exclusively for the delicious Bozbash (which translates to “grey head” in Azerbaijani and Turkish).

This blend of cuisines creates something unique: not fusion, but continuity. From Anatolia to the Caucasus, from Baku to Cappadocia, the food shares the same philosophy — generous portions, warm bread, slow cooking and meals designed for gathering people around a table.

Perhaps that is why evenings here feel less like dining out and more like being hosted. Whether breaking fast during Ramadan, meeting friends after work, or introducing visitors to something different, Dönergy offers more than Turkish food — it offers a glimpse into a shared cultural heritage carried across borders and served in the heart of Singapore.
